The right to receive confirmation of the existence or not of personal data of which he is the subject, even if not yet registered, and to receive communication of the same in  intelligibile form.

The individual has the right to be told:
a) of the origin of personal data
b) of the purpose for which the data will be used and the means with which it will be treated
c) of the logic applied in the event that electronic methods are used as part of the handling process
d) of the identity of the company controlling  the data, the processors and the  representative appointed under the terms of article 5, sub-section 2
e) of the subjects and subject categories to which personal data may be communicated or which may receive such information whilst acting as a functionary on the national territory, a processor or an appointee

The individual has the right to:
a) update, modify, or if so desired, integrate the data
b) cancel, render the format anonymous or block the use of data not treated in accordance with the law, and to cancel any data that is not pertinent to the purpose for which it was collected or subsequently treated
c) receive confirmation that procedures under letters a) and b) above have been brought to the attention of those bodies or persons to whom said data has been communicated or transmitted, including details as to its content, except in cases when such communication is impossible or involves means manifestly disproportionate to the right  to be protected.
